Tinsel town was awash with A-list celebrities last night for the 74th annual Golden Globes ceremony and the team at ECL were dying to get to their desks and trawl the net for inspiration for potential 2017 trends. Here’s what we found…

Off the shoulder, Bardot and cold shoulder is here to stay…

 Shoulders

Check out these beautiful dresses worn by Nicole Kidman, Michelle Williams and Amy Adams. Kidman was draped in an intricately embroidered Alexander McQueen drop shoulder gown. While Williams dons 3 of 2016’s greatest trends – lace, shoulderless and an elegant black chocker. It’s only appropriate that Tom Ford’s leading lady wears a gown created by the man himself – looking fierce and on point; Adams looks beautifully elegant in this black sequined number.

Pretty in Pink…

   Pretty in Pink

Pink is most definitely the colour of the season. Elegant and versatile, we predict a lot of pink hues arising Spring/Summer 2017. Take a look at Lily Collins in Zuhair Murad, Felicity Jones in Gucci, and we love Zoe Saldana in Gucci again…

Not forgetting the men…

   Best of the Men

The ladies (and some of the men) in the ECL office most certainly appreciated the effort of the men on the red carpet. Here are a few of our favourites…

No list would be complete without with man himself – Ryan Gosling. In custom made Gucci, he looked every bit handsome and polished. Opting something slightly unusual but equally dapper – Donald Glover in head-to-toe brown velvet by Gucci. For me Chris Pine took the award for the best dressed male – in Giorgio Armani. Stepping out with a perfectly groomed peppered beard and slick back hair he looks extremely dapper.

Here’s our best of the rest…
